Sister Rose Thumithor, Hospital Administrator in Uganda
Sister Rose, an administrator for Saint Joseph’s Midwifery and Comprehensive Nursing School and Kamuli Mission Hospital in Uganda, reflects on how she helps save the lives of mothers and children.
Our Involvement
CapacityPlus’s Rebecca Rhodes interviewed Sister Rose during a recent trip to Uganda, where she participated in the Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI) annual symposium, completed data collection at Kamuli Nurses and Midwives Training School for an assessment of bottlenecks and best buys, and gathered information on the progress, use, and impact of the Uganda Knowledge Management Portal.
About This Series
CapacityPlus places health workers at the center of our efforts. We embrace the WHO’s broad definition of health workers. Our staff conducted quick, informal interviews with health workers in various countries. We invite you to hear their voices and learn what we’re doing to help them save even more lives.
