Monica Watuvamu, Nurse/Midwife in Uganda
Monica Watuvamu, a nurse and midwife at Kamuli Mission Hospital, talks about finding motivation, upgrading her skills, and helping a woman with an ectopic pregnancy.
Our Involvement
CapacityPlus’s Rebecca Rhodes interviewed Monica during a recent trip to Uganda, where she participated in the Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI) annual symposium, completed data collection at Kamuli Nurses and Midwives Training School for an assessment of bottlenecks and best buys, and gathered information on the progress, use, and impact of the Uganda Knowledge Management Portal.
About This Series
CapacityPlus places health workers at the center of our efforts. We embrace the WHO’s broad definition of health workers. Our staff conducted quick, informal interviews with health workers in various countries. We invite you to hear their voices and learn what we’re doing to help them save even more lives.
