Lazarus Filiya, Health Worker in Nigeria
Lazarus Filiya, a health worker with the United Methodist Church in Nigeria, explains what he likes most about his role in the rural health program.
Our Involvement
CapacityPlus’s Doris Mwarey interviewed Lazarus during the Sixth Biennial Conference of the African Christian Health Associations Platform. CapacityPlus strengthens faith-based organizations’ ability to manage their human resources and provide high-quality care to underserved populations. And in Nigeria, CapacityPlus supports the Federal Ministry of Health and others to carry out an integrated program of health workforce strengthening.
About This Series
CapacityPlus places health workers at the center of our efforts. We embrace the WHO’s broad definition of health workers. Our staff conducted quick, informal interviews with health workers in various countries. We invite you to hear their voices and learn what we’re doing to help them save even more lives.
