Zimbabwe

While HIV prevalence in Zimbabwe has declined, an estimated 1.6 million children remain vulnerable by HIV and AIDS, their needs not being fully met by the country’s depleted social service workforce. CapacityPlus conducted a rapid review and analysis of the existing social service workforce situation, using the project’s Human Resources Management Assessment Approach. Based on the outcomes, CapacityPlus proposed a range of short- and long-term options to inform the development of a social service workforce strengthening strategy, as well as interventions that the Government of Zimbabwe and US Government have taken forward and are supporting.
